Kiwi Link strengthens New Zealand tourism ties with India

Tourism New Zealand brought 75 travel buyers and 49 New Zealand tourism businesses together in Goa for Kiwi Link India 2026, as visitor arrivals from India continue to exceed pre-pandemic levels.

Held from July 20 to 23, the trade event focused on strengthening commercial partnerships, building destination knowledge and promoting New Zealand as a year-round destination for Indian travellers.

Indian arrivals reached 125 per cent of 2019 levels in the year to May 2026. Visitor expenditure reached NZ$229 million (US$137 million) in the year to March 2026, nearly 49 per cent above pre-pandemic levels.

Kiwi Link India has been part of Tourism New Zealand’s trade engagement in the country for more than two decades, connecting New Zealand tourism businesses with Indian travel partners. The programme provides opportunities for buyers and sellers to develop business, exchange market insights and build knowledge of New Zealand’s tourism products.

The event comes as Tourism New Zealand continues to target India as a priority growth market, with Indian travellers showing interest in experiences spanning culture, adventure, food and wellness.
