Air Astana, Kazakh Tourism and five regions of Kazakhstan will collaborate on international marketing initiatives in 2027 to support inbound tourism and passenger traffic.
A Strategic Cooperation Agreement was signed in Almaty on September 21 by Air Astana, Kazakh Tourism, the Akimats of Astana and Almaty, and the Almaty, Akmola and Mangistau regions.

Under the agreement, the parties will pool marketing, communications and organisational resources to promote Kazakhstan in international source markets.
Activities will include digital campaigns, participation in international travel exhibitions and roadshows, familiarisation trips for overseas trade partners and media, B2B events and analysis to identify priority markets.
The partnership will also align destination marketing with Air Astana’s international network as the parties seek to increase awareness of Kazakhstan and stimulate inbound travel.
Talgat Gazizov, chairman of Kazakh Tourism, said: “Developing inbound tourism requires a coordinated effort. By bringing together the resources and expertise of the national tourism board, the airline and the regions, we can raise Kazakhstan’s profile in key international markets. This cooperation will help attract more international visitors and support the development of tourism-related businesses and services across the country.”
“Our aim is to make Kazakhstan more accessible to international travellers and raise awareness of the rich cultural heritage, variety of attractions and promote Kazakhstan as a destination,” added Ibrahim Canliel, CEO of Air Astana.
