Minor Hotels has launched Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort in India, marking the arrival of the Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in the country. The new resort will feature 117 hotel rooms and 58 branded residences, along with a variety of amenities.
This comes as Minor Hotels accelerates its expansion in India, with plans for 50 new openings over the next decade.

Set for completion by 2028, the resort will offer a range of facilities including three dining venues, a banquet hall, spa, swimming pool, beach bar, and gym. A nine-hole par-three golf course will also be available, designed for both beginners and experienced golfers.
The development, located on a 10.3-hectare site in Bhogapuram, is close to the upcoming Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, set to improve regional connectivity by 2026. It is also near the Bay of Bengal and National Highways 16 and 26.
Developed by Sunray Green Space, Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort is designed to meet the rising demand in Visakhapatnam, known for its commercial sector, MICE business, and growing leisure tourism. With expanding IT zones and better infrastructure, the resort will provide great accommodation for both business and leisure visitors.
