WITH the initial rounds of stringent validations concluded, eligible buyers for ATF 2016 have started receiving hosting invitations since July 15. More invitations will be sent over the coming weeks as the ATF Host Committee gets ready to host a total of 400 buyers and 100 media delegates from some 50 countries.
All hosted delegates have been qualified for their interest and potential in procuring ASEAN destination travel products and services. Insights from buyer applicants indicate that procurement objectives are diverse.
Ayodele Yeneyin, CEO/managing director of Trade Global Marketing Tours, South Africa, said: “We are looking at destinations such as the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia. We want to speak with suppliers and providers from hotels, resorts, luxury travel, travel management, airlines, spa, travel agents, transport companies, tour operators and event organising companies.”
Other buyer applicants like Arthur Hecker, owner of RMK Global Travel Services US, a travel wholesaler/retailer, is particularly focused on sourcing with Filippino suppliers.
“I want to get in touch with local providers of tours and accommodation from all over the Philippines,” he said.
To meet buyers like Ayodele Yeneyin and Arthur Hecker, book a booth now before the early bird promotion ends on September 15, 2015.
